Children’s Festival
Saving Grace and Balloons Over Bend have combined two of Bend’s most recognizable festivals into a brand new and exciting festival that will continue to benefit Saving Grace.
The Saving Grace Children’s Festival saw over 3,000 adults and children in 2010 enjoying a day of healthy family activity and better-than-ever entertainment on the center stage. The Festival raises funds for our domestic violence and sexual assault services, including our confidential shelter in Bend. This is a fantastic fundraiser for Saving Grace essential services, but even better than that it is a wonderful way for local businesses to commit to healthy family life in Central Oregon. Proceeds from Northwest Community Balloons Over Bend Children’s Festival will continue to support our services in Deschutes, Jefferson, and Crook County.
PacificSource Healthy Life Kids Zone
PacificSource Health Plans is proud to present a wide variety of wellness resources in the Healthy Life Kids Zone at the Balloons over Bend Children’s Festival. In conjunction with some of our partnering healthcare providers, we’re going to provide education and resources to address children’s health, healthy eating, active living, tobacco prevention, and much more. In addition, PacificSource will be on site signing children up for the Healthy Kids program. Healthy Kids was developed to change the health trajectory by providing affordable health coverage to children in the community.
Booth Activities
40 wonderful activity booths for kids of all ages will be at the children’s festival. Below are some of the exciting activities for the kiddos to look forward to:
- Jump houses
- Basketball hoop shoots
- Tiara decorating
- Bubble pools
- Face painting …..and so much more!
Booth spaces available for free to any business, non-profit or organization in the community that wants to come out and help support Saving Grace and our mission of Healthy Families. This is a great way to support our community and promote your business or organization –all we ask is that the booths provide a fun children’s activity. Email Jackie Baker or call (541) 408-6225.
