Bennett Schwontkowski is founder and president of Corporate Balloons, Ltd. providing clients with hot and cold air balloon program services internationally. As a commercially licensed pilot, he has logged over 2,500 flights during the past 25 years, flying over 11,200 passengers. He has flown at all major balloon events, including the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, the Kentucky Derby Festival, Battle Creek Michigan Balloon Championships, Metris Thunderbird Balloon Classic, the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics and the Adirondack Balloon Festival. Mr. Schwontkowski first received his pilot's license in 1977, at which time he held the distinction of being the second youngest pilot in the state of Illinois. From 1994-1995, he piloted a 300,000 cubic foot special shape hot air balloon, which at the time was the world's largest. Bennett coordinated and was the senior pilot for the America Online balloon program for 6 years. Bennett's favorite festival is the Tigard Festival of Balloons in Tigard, OR which he won in 2001 and attended for 7 years. Currently, Bennett coordinates the balloon programs for Allstate Insurance, Frito Lay Flat Earth, Northern IL RE/MAX, and event promotions for other clients.
